We in Littletown cannot escape Winter. As of the writing of this post the area has received record snowfall. I shot these pics over the weekend during a break in snowfall with the temps about -4F. Note the birds in the trees in the gazebo photo. There's been a flock of robins hanging in the area and I happen to catch them just a few moments later.

Great captures. Think SPRING!
Super-enjoyable series. Cold, neat shadows, fun titles, interesting perspectives and subjects - a bit of everything!

Nice set Floyd, I in Iowa we have had enough of this, doesn't seem to end. My compliment on these - When no color in our world go B/W and get better detail and contrast. Thanks for sharing. Bob
Hey Bob, its quite stark any direction you look. Thanks for your comment. Regards
Notice how the birds have their feathers fluffed up to help trap body heat. May our bird experts explain how this works.
Very nice set Floyd. Afraid winter is not over yet.

Really beautiful set. I long ago said bye to snow but sometimes miss it, like after seeing your photos.
Love the binoculars with the "cap" and the last shot.
I especially like the “Cold Landscape” capture. I immediately turned up the heat.
Always admire the ambition to pursue cold weather photography!
We went south to get away, to Hilton Head, S Carolina. When we got here it was 68 and beautiful, the sun hasn't come out except for a couple of hours since, and it is in the low to mid 50s. But, it is better than fighting with the snow. A super moon brings the tide way up. The tidal marsh near us is beautiful. A solitary crane seemed to be enjoying the solitude. I will post the photo if I can.
Very nice. I really like the last two.
