Nikon D850 strobe compatibility

I just bought a Nikon D850 and have a Radio Slave 4 from Quantum Instruments and several old strobes from Sunpak: models 622 Super, Auto 611 Thyristor, and Auto 522 Thyristor. Of course Nikon says to use only with Nikon accessories, but does anyone know if any of these are compatible with the D850? I want to use the Radio Slave 4 to fire an array of Norman studio strobes from my Nikon D850.

This site list many flash units along with their trigger voltage.

I don't know about the quantum radio slave, but I have use Paul C. Buff's radio slave trigger on my D300 and D7100 without a problem. As to the flash units you mentioned I would be concerned using them directly on the camera.
I would contact Quantum and make sure their trigger is compatible with the D850 just to be sure.

Why don't you just try? You have all the stuff needed. All you can expect is to have the camera trigger the flashes. There is no other type of control possible.

Except for some old flash systems that use high voltage triggering can damage some cameras from this millenium - so it could be an expensive test. Your "advice is maybe not the best ever...................

How can they??? He uses the Radio Slave how can it damage the camera? The fact that I told him to try because these old radio slaves may trigger too slowly and can't be used at max sync speed.

Some of the old radio slaves used the same high voltage trigger system as the strobes. Sure you have to try it out - AFTER having confirmed you don't kill the camera
