While shooting in Georgetown, a suburb of Seattle, I came across this fire alarm. With my love of black & white, there was no way I could leaved the red alarm in a shade of grey. Hence, the final outcome was to restore the red alarm in the midst of the grey & white. All in all, I'm quite pleased. Hope you are, too. Comments, both positive and otherwise are welcome.

Neat coloring.
Why does it say postbox?

Is that what it says? I simply took it for a fire alarm.

In German.
Definitely an ornament as both the drop-off door (top) and pick-up door (bottom) are screwed shut.
Regardless, a very striking photo.
It's a german mailbox

That's what I've come to understand. Why I considered it a fire alarm I'll never know. Perhaps the redness. Then again, if I read it more carefully, I should have taken the hint.
Anyway, thanks for noticing. Ken.

“Postkasten” translates as “mailbox”.
