Great and interesting series Mark, especially like #9 love the church.
Thanks so much for your kind comments Sylvia. I was fortunate to get the shot of the church from the castle at the right time of day. I saw the exact shot on a tourist website yesterday but they didn’t name the church!
Gruyères is a town in the district of Gruyère in the canton of Fribourg in Switzerland. The medieval town is an important tourist location in the upper valley of the Saane/Sarine river, and gives its name to Gruyère cheese. The medieval town is located at the top of 82 metre-high hill overlooking the Saane valley and the Lake of Gruyère. It is a short drive from Montreaux (home of the Jazz Festival) and has some great restaurants specializing in cheese fondeau. Enjoy - we loved the fondeau! Mark

Another beautiful series Mark. We spent 5 days in and around Geneva in 1973, but we need to go back and you've given us another place to visit.
