Although his form was perfect the shot went wide....life is not always they way you want it to be.
That looks like a lot of liniment application tomorrow!
There is an age mismatch there...some are in their 50's and still playing against "kids"....those in their 20"s and 30's. The old guys do suffer or so my son tells me.

I agree with Jules -- MUCH better. Watch your focus and perhaps raise your shutter speed (said without info on what you used here). Face AND Ball are mostly a MUST. Wide open, 1/1000th or better, appropriate ISO. Keep on practicing...
