It looks lovely to me and my 24-105 mm is my favorite walk-around lens for almost everything. It's a great lens to have in your arsenal.

Thanks for your kind comment, Blair.

It is an excellent shot and I cannot understand why you called having the 24-105 only as "unfortunate." If you would have been able to get closer the lens would have done its part and from where you were standing it also did its part. Perhaps a prime would have not been in this case a good choice especially if the lens would have not allowed to get the composition you wanted and I am keeping the cold weather in mind.
The lens and you both performed very well.

Grouse composition. Nice work Cotondog.

I'd like to see it exposed a fraz more... but that's just me.

Thank you for your kind comment, camerapapi. I agree that the 24-105 L is an excellent lens. I guess I thought that I could accent the barn better (place more emphasis on the barn) if I had my 100-400 L-II with me. But I am happy with the results that I got, especially with the sky.

A brave photographer to venture out in this cold weather. Your landscape is marvelous: well-composed; subtle lighting; and creative angle. Love to see it in download. Great job!

Thank you for your kind words, hiker60. Much appreciated.

Nice just as is, I don't think any other lense would have enhanced the image.

Have you heard the saying "picture Perfect" you have it.. If those Barns could talk, they would be great to listen to.

Maybe get closer.

Thanks for your comment, cboysen. I would have like to get a bit closer, but there was no road leading to that barn. So, I had to walk across the field, and it was minus 30 degrees. I was pretty damn cold so could not go the rest of the way. Maybe next summer?

Would look great on metallic paper and an reclaimed wood frame.

Thank you for your kind comment, Tracy. I will print it and very likely frame it in old weathered barn wood. I have done that with a few of my favorite barn and abandoned house pictures.
