This tulip broke off from it's stem. instead of just tossing it, I thought I would give it a new life. Well sort of.

I think the composition and colors are fabulous, Frank. I love it!!

I could see a small trim from top as there is a tiny bit more white space than I think is needed there.

Thanks, ole eagle. I see it now that you pointed it out and it is now screaming at m to fix it.

This is very good, like the lines and the contrast of the green with the white background.

Thanks, since the stem broke and it could not be added to the bouquet. I really wanted to do something with it. My thought was to keep it simple.

Very nice photo. I think I would crop the Vase out and maybe use a darker background.

Thanks for commenting. I usually would use a black background but in this case I wanted to go on the light side. BTW my “vase” is a one inch jelly sample jar.

I like the composition Frank but the bare white background makes it look like a cut-out that’s waiting for something to be added (to me, of course).

I understand what you are saying, and some might take it as you see it. As I mentioned to Letmedance, I normally would have done a black background, but I went in a different direction. Well at least different for me. I was looking for a clean simple background. Thanks for commenting. Much appreciated.

First of all, I think this is beautiful. Your composition is really nice. I usually prefer dark backgrounds for flowers, but the light works and makes a more upbeat statement. I would crop some off the top. I would crop the bottom at the top of the jar. Not sure what shape that would leave, but I'm not sure that matters.

I too prefer a dark background. I usually go with black. But in this case wanted to keep it light and airy. Going with your suggestions I am attaching a cropped image. I like the less on the top, but not sure I would cut out the jar completely.
