Milky way apt.

Hey Guys hope you can help. I'll be in Costa Rica May 6th through May 17th. I wanted to capture the Milky way Better this time. I use to have an apt that showed what time the Milky way would raise and fall and from what direction to view, I can't find it any longer. Here in Florida I view from the south, but not sure from CR. The first week I have no moon so hoping to be in the right place at the right time. Your help would be appreciated... Thanks, Martin

I think the guys got you covered on Apps so I'll just agree with you on the phase of the Moon being best the first week. The 6th being the New Moon. Being that far south the best viewing should be straight up to capture the Sagittarius Region. Facing up during May the pre-dawn hours are best.
