On our recent hike in the Valley of Fire State Park we had Desert Bighorn Sheep all around us. Some up above on formations, others below us or on the trail. We counted 31 including 2 newborns. It was a wonderful experience to photograph.
Very nice. Surprised how close to them you got.
Beautiful captures...all ewe's, no ram's; ram's bunch up and go off on their own this time of year. They will rejoin the ewes in November for the "rut".

We were walking on that trail alone. At first we were concerned, but they seemed to be just looking for brush to eat. Some stayed their distance, but some were on our trail and we walked slowly by them. It was a great experience.

I've never been that close to a ram. Didn't see any on this trip.
These images are very good and they didn't seem to mind your presence.....nice work.
Excellent photo's, it's surprising they let you get so close.
