duplicate posts--Why?

As many of you may have noticed , far to many of my posts are duplicates. I also see this occasionally from other posters but not at the frequency that it happens to me. Can anyone tell me what is going wrong with my posting techniques

If they are one right behind the other in the same thread, it's twitchy mouse finger or you are not doing a good click and wind up with a double-click. Happened to me a couple of times until I found out what was happening. Double click TOO fast and you get double posts.

Quite likely. I have very shaky hands and fingers (essential tremors) and I can rarely get even a single word typed right the first time. (missing letters, double or triple letters or out of order letters) It's a frustrating experience hand holding a 400 mm. (600 mm full frame equivalent) lens. The lens excursions are wider than the field of view so I "spray and pray" hoping that the subject happens to be in the frame in at least some of the photos.

I've noticed on rare occasion (not so much anymore) I would go to click on "post" and bang, twitch in the button finger, a real fast double click.
Sometimes if the mouse is old? dirty? a very light press or half-press will yield multiple clicks also.
