Biden needs a better speech writer and then needs to stick to his script. No doubt he intended to offend Romney instead of the crowd who came to see him, but really, "back in chains?" Any other racial slips-of-the-tongue?

I don't generally watch presidential or vice presidential debates. They are pretty predictable and I'd rather read about it the next day.

The VP one between Ryan and Biden is going to be interesting, though. I'm thinking Monday Night Football interesting. There is a pretty significant intellectual mismatch, and if Ryan gets under Biden's skin it could be pretty entertaining.

BO (Biden and Obama) are living proof that "one should remain silent and be thought a fool rather than open their mouth and remove all doubt".

Democratic politicians feel that they are so smart and so loved by the democratic voter that they can say anything. I am getting a kick that the press is calling this a gaff... The VP knew exactly what he said and he meant to say it... It is the campaign of fear and barbarism.. Can you imagine, the Vice President of the United States telling a predominately black audience that republicans want to put them back into chains? He has nothing good to say other than he and the president will keep handing out goodies to any voting block that they can find, he has no solutions or vision for the future only the federal checkbook in hand..

The entire democratic campaign reminds me of a third would campaign that one would expect to see in Venezuela or Ecuador.

It would almost as rediculus as a Republican telling the public that a proposed health care plan would result in death panels. Or maybe that a Preident wasn't born in the US. Or maybe that he was a facist Muslem. No, that would never happen, Republicans are polite.

He's correct. Ryan is a child of privilege with a complete lack of compassion. He has admitted to being aggravated by those supported by some sort of assistance. He is the archetype of an oligarch. I fear that his vision of the future is taken from one of his favorite films...Metropolis.

Last time I looked around none of the people posting that crap were ever elected to the office of the vice president. The fact of the matter is is that there will be rationing under the ACA and that the panel that will make those determinations will be DC Bureaucrats... maybe death panel is a little strong unless it is you that is being denied care....

Biden used the language that he used to invoke an emotional response not only in the audience present, but to the base of the democratic party... No-one plays in the mud any better than does this president and his people.

Thank god Sarah Palin wasen't elected.

John McCain at least, had the integraty (class) to correct a woman about Obama being an American.

Who was the republican congressman who claimed 30 Democratic Representatives were members of the communist party? ( Allen West and he claimed 80 members)

I know that you and I see things from a different perspective, but to me it seems as the right has been dealing in slander for decades.

just taking a page out of the democratic party playbook, Liberal dems can not defend liberalism with facts and logic they have to resort to blatant telling of big lies. The book "none dare call it treason" by J Edgar Hoover about the American Communist Party" equally applies to the uber left leaning Dem's. What y'all don't like is that the old school country club repubs who would kow tow to the left and the media in a pathetic attempt to be liked are not in charge anymore. Repbs are sick of the slander, vile lies and blatant propaganda worthy of Josef Goebbels coming from the left. you send a Molotov cocktail our way we will send it back with interest. In the words of Alice Cooper "No more mister nice guy..."

As for Colonel West he was specifically mentioning the congressional progressive caucus, which is Marxist in all but name.

Who was it who said "let he who is without sin cast the first stone"

Really, Republicans, stop whining when Dems use the same tactics that you have been using for decades.
75% of the words out of Sarah Palin's mouth were personal attacks.
Did anyone bother to notice Mitt Romney's tactics during the primary.
Stop Whining!

You really counted Sarah Palins words? too bad you did not actually listen to them, you would have learned something? Democrats complain about personal attacks remind me of the scene in Casablanca Where Nazi major strasser, orders Capt Renne of the French police (played to perfection by Claude rains) to close Boggies bar. He immediately starts saying I'm shocked, shocked to find gambling going on here. waiter comes up says your winnings, he thanks him then goes on to be shocked that gambling is going on.

by the way the history of smearing republicans goes back to 1860, when the democratic (yep same party) supporters claimed that Abe Lincoln wanted white women to bear black mens children so that the whole country would become blended. That wasn't even the most vile thing said about the Great Emancipator, A leader and a political party that was willing to fight a very expensive war to free black men and woman from the chains of slavery. For Joe bidden to make that comment is ignorant race baiting and repugnant. Bidden needs to apologize at once. Can you imagine if Paul Ryan said obama's supporters want to have sex with your daughters at a prominently white campaign rally? He would get crucified. But since its libs saying it, the liberal media gives him a pass and calls it a gaffe. No a gaffe is when AL gore toured Monticello and asked who the bust was of (Thomas Jefferson). This is a repugnant attempt to incite racial tension. Does it not bother you Dem's that if you look at the map of states and prediction of how they will vote, that the Dem's only have the left coast, and new england? Not much of a national party. the west, south, and Midwest is solid red or some key states like Ohio are still in play.
