My computer is a Dell that is about 3 years old now. i7 processor, 4 core, 24GB ram, SSD m.2 NVMe hard drive and a 2GB 7200rpm hard drive. The video is a 4GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 Driver Date 1/3/2018 Version 23.21.13.9065

About a year ago I had trouble getting Adobe products to work after a major Adobe update, so I had Adobe take control of my computer and they installed the latest video drivers. All has worked great since.

On the Adobe forum there is a thought that the drivers have to be very new. Newer than yours. But, since yours is working, that thought would not be valid.

Don’t both have AA filters?

Yes, and I am getting solid black images. (well vague gray blobs where almost blown highlights are)

I may use it as an excuse to upgrade my video card, it is a 2010/11 model and only 2 GB. It does have the latest drivers but they are over 1/2 year old, for a gaming video card that is a long time. They used to issue updates to the drivers about every one or two months then it went to three months and now the ones I have are from the first half of 2018.
I suspect the company is close to dropping it from updates.
No, I am not a gamer, I got it on the theory that if it could run online games in real time it could edit photos and videos.
I have been right since Nov 2011 so far but the PP apps keep needing more and more power to run at any decent speed. I have a new SSD for my C drive and can raise my RAM from 16 GB to 32 GB, the CPU is second tier now but still faster than most people's computers so a newer faster GPU with say 6 GB should do more than good enough.

The other thing discussed is how little change you see between the original and enhanced copy. Most that are getting it to work say they will be hard pressed to find a use for the "Enhanced Detail".

What do you see?

I only worked on one image and I couldn't see any difference. AND,,,, it took my computer quite a while to render the new image.
