I don't want to speak out of turn or put words into cmc4214's mouth but I believe this has been resolved to his satisfaction. The order has been reconstituted and the camera should be on the way soon.

If you found fed ex tracking which said it was refused and took the time , you would find their customer service (make sure it is the fedex site and not a third party). There is an option for an on-line chat or email to start the search. Also, for expensive gear, B&H may have shipped it with a signature required for delivery. I would take a breath and call Fed Ex to see where it went.

I have bought many thousands of dollars at B&H and find their customer service to be amoung the best in the world.

CMC, what a shame, sad to hear. Even though they're busy folks, incompetence should never be acceptable.(note, I didn't say -they- (whoever they are) were incompetent! We used to use B&H and usually the service was fine. We always pay extra if necessary to be sure we get UPS shipping (they tried to advise us FedEx was better; ha-ha-ho-ho, after decades in business, we've always received far better shipping service with UPS. After a couple of incidents, we switched to Adorama bit still insisted on UPS shipping. No one should ever put up with such screw-ups as you experienced. To be fair, in certain urban areas, it's possible that FedEx may give some customers better/faster delivery times, but they always practice 'driver discretion' which means they might just leave your expensive camera at the wrong address, instead of placing it in your hands, especially since you're supposed to sign for it.

It's a bit more difficult to do these days but it's still possible to reach B&H's executive level to place a formal (respecful/non-rant) complaint. In your case, you're fully justified to place a hold on your credit card for this B&H order, or for any vendor who can't get their stuff straight, or as we used to say, (that's a ton-o-my-money, sonny). As Billy Joel always says at the end of his concerts, (or used to), "don't take any $xxx from anyone." We've never had any issues with Adorama, coupled with UPS signature-mandatory shipping. FedEx left a next day iPad shipment sitting at the end of the drive, next to the street last year. Enough said. sv

I can vouch for FEDEX as this is the worse delivery service ever. they are constantly delivering our packages to other addresses ( deliberately) and they the drives has the nerve to bring the damage or opened box to use and have us sign off on his mistake. Forget that.. Read the headlines as several FEDEX drivers have been reported for swapping good products for bad products and taking the good stuff home with them. The last time we ordered something, the drive approached our porch with a cigarette in his mount! I contacted FEDEX afterward and said is this allowed?. The spoke person seem concerned.

I can't vouch for B&H, but I can say, that I've sent emails just to get a feel of those I could have been dealing with and needless to say I wasn't getting good vibes from those I spoke with. Same holds true for Adaroma and you're going to get several different views from both sides of this..

You may recall that B and H had a problem with sending out packs of 2 A7R3s to buyers ordering one. (Sony packages these cameras in outers of 2). I recently ordered, from Adorama, 2 A73 bodies, (one each for my wife and myself), I received 2 packs of 2 - a total of 4 cameras and an error on their part of $4,000. The same error B and H had made. Although I could have legally kept the unordered / unsolicited cameras I contacted Adorama and sent them back.
What was irritating and has soured me on ordering further from them there was no acknowledgement of receipt and not even an email saying thanks. Made me feel I shouldn't have bothered!

FedEx is terrible around here. They get paid commission. Unlike UPS which gets paid by the hour. UPS knows where everyone lives even off-grid, like me. FedEx has such a high turnover due to getting paid $2 to deliver a package that took 45 minutes that they don't stick it out long enough to find where people live. One of my packages was said to have been left on the table. I asked what table since I knew it was an outright lie. I believe a FedEx driver could steal the whole load and say it was delivered and corp would believe it. Corp stands behind their drivers so I just refuse to order from anyone that ships FedEx.

We also had a problem with B&H and Fed ex. I was told that they just signed a contract with fed ex. B&H used to use UPS for years and we never had a problem. My husband ordered a computer. We were give a delivery date, But it wasn't delivered. This happened 3 more times, and the last straw was that Fed ex said we were not home, and we were. B&H decided that the package got lost, and they credited my credit card. This was NOT the fault of B&H, But it was most surely the fault of Fed Ex. Finally , Fed ex said ir was delivered to us, and gave the name of the person who signed, Not us. B&H said that was someone in the warehouse. So after more than 2 weeks of waiting for something that never came, we bought the same thing from Amazon and we had it 2 days later

Tracking says one package containing the spare battery was delivered, it WASN'T. (at least not to me) Tracking also says the other package was refused. It wasn't by me. Furthermore, tracking says it was refused in Pittsburgh, my address is NOT Pittsburgh
I called B&H and they say they can do nothing until it gets back to them, IF it gets back to them. I cannot find a number for FedEx
B&H also says they will refund my card when the camera gets back to them, but what about the package they say is delivered, I know of no way I can prove I did not receive it.
I also reviewed my order on B&H,s web site and the address IS correct

I just bought a new camera from B&H. Excellent service and delivery. I had to sign for package.

(Assuming that it shows up), I will be satisfied with the resolution. When it arrives, I will post a response with my feelings about B&H's customer service.

I had a strange thing happen with my B&H order. I received my camera just fine ( because they wanted a signature, I had it delivered to Walgreens) but they sent me the wrong invoice. Got that squared away and got another notice from Fedex that I had a delivery which was scheduled for Monday. Well weather hit and so they say they will deliver today. Problem is-I received everything I ordered last week. So, I wonder what they sent me!?

Gee, and I thought I was all alone. I have had FX leave a package on the approach to my driveway 130' from the house and 6 feet from the street, on a rainy day. Thank God it was only a tripod part and I found it before some neer do well driving by did. I find it amazing that FX is able to stay in business. I sure would never ship anything with them especially something of any value.
