Working an editorial fashion repertoire in Hollister jeans and sportbra atop South Mountain's summit on the Appalachian Trail...
Key Light: 64 inch white reflector (just out of frame)
Kicker: Strong mid day sunlight directly behind talent
Kit: Nikon D7200; AF-S 70-200mm f/2.8
Settings: f/4; 1/1250; Manual Exposure
The pose seems a little un-natural but I love the shot. Pretty girl, lighting is well executed-well done!
"...The pose seems a little un-natural..." Really?
"Pose" Concept for the shoot... below
btw, in fashion "Editorials" there is a compelling need to push the envelope over the top...
this isn't catalog... which keeps it real.... editorial? fierce! surreal...
Hope this makes sense...
thanks for taking the time to review and comment AZNikon... greatly appreciated :)

Beautiful girl, nice lighting but I agree a bit about the pose. The Vogue model looks comfortable to me. Something about the young lady in your shot makes her look uncomfortable in the way she has her arms. But that might be just me.
I am going to echo the previous comments. Cant quite put my finger on what it is but the Vogue model has more of an s curve feel, the other has more of a z feel, just a little stiff. It is subtle...
I think the thing that’s bothering these people is her shoulders. The example Vogue model has horizontal hips and slanted shoulders while this model has hips and shoulders slanted the same way. This necessitates an awkward angle for that higher-shouldered arm.
The lighting here is great. I have never gotten such even light for a full body from a reflector. Going back to your description made me realize I need to stop saving space. 64” reflector it is.
Like others said: the pose is off. It’s the arms...awkward, almost looks like she’s double jointed. She appears to be very narrow so might look better if her arms were kept closer to her torso?
Thank you so much for reviewing MattPhox and for your very thoughtful reflections...
They are truly appreciated...
EyeShootWideOpen greatly appreciate your taking the time to review and reflect...
Your input is to be cherished...
Yes reflector surface area size matters Wakko12... experience has been a brutal teacher...
Albeit all credit goes to the very skillful lighting assistant who was able to focus the sun's strong radiant beam preciously where it most effective... I relied entirely on his diligence....
Truly appreciate your assessment of the image... many, many thanks!
Dannj thank you so very much for taking the time to review and more importantly for your very thoughtful and poignant critique... It is truly treasured...
The hips start the S curve, but the torso doesn't follow the curve. Rather it is straight vertical and her right shoulder is attempting to bring the S curve back into line, but it's the wrong side and too high so it looks like an unnatural spike. If her right shoulder were lower than her left shoulder it would bring her body back into an S curve in a natural way even if the torso stays vertical. This is just my opinion.
Your lighting assistant got it right!

Great lighting, good pose, but her shoulders are rolled forward.
