We went up around 4 years ago, just after it reopened from earthquake damage. They no longer let you walk up which is sad. There are things on the walls on the inside that are historical. They slow down about 1/2 way up to let you see some of them. But I'm glad we got to go up. Yes, the view of D.C. from up there is amazing.
