Old joke: An older couple married MANY years is visiting a friend. The husband is talking about a great restaurant but cannot recall the name. He asks the person they are visiting, "What's that red flower that smells so nice?' The person replies, "A rose?" The husband says, "Ah, that's it! He turns to his wife and says, "Rose, what is the name of that restaurant?"

He probably has transition lenses. Polarized do not change on exposure to sunlight.

We all have them! Being a senior does have it's challenges! I think!

WHAT is this? "Make fun of OLD FOLKS week"? I wanna make a new FORUM rule- "NO MORE OLD PEOPLE JOKES"!

Don't miNd me, I get grouchy after each birthday- it wears off in a couple of days.

Problem is, I still have total recall memory- I remember everything, even stuff I would like to forget. When my memory begins to fail, I wonder if I can select what I would like to delete.

I'm thinking of changing my avatar picture to the attache version- what to y'all think?

Im almost 98 and I’ve never had a “seniors moment”! At least one I’d own up to!

The same thing happened to me at a gas station. After I did not see the fuel display, I got an attendant to look at it to see why pump was not working. She could see, but I could not. I was stumped. Then she told me to remove sunglasses and my problem would be solved. Lesson learned.

Young people often seem to talk about memory loss among seniors. I just point out that they (the young) have done nothing worth forgetting yet.

then my buddy told me to check my diopter ring. it was the problem, but i never moved it in the first place.

What kind of dummy does that? Oh wait, I’ve done it a few times! Then I take off polarized sunglasses and promptly drop them on the trail, forget because I’m taking a photo and leave the glasses there for our entire trip in Peru. Now I carry a spare....set of glasses.

I go with the polarized glasses. I have to remove my sun glasses and use my regular glasses when I want to take pictures. I used to get anti-glare coating on my sunglasses so I could read the instruments on my motorcycle but lately I've lapsed back to polarized ones. I suspect it isn't age this time.

I went to use one of my digital multimeters a while ago. Turned it on and the display was all swirly rainbows. I figured "Oh well" and came close to trashing it.
Then I took off my sunglasses that I had been wearing after a pupil-dilating eye doctor visit.
No more rainbow swirlies!! Hadn't realized my sunglassses were polarizers!
