Thank you, Bob. I hope you make a very rapid recovery from your "time off". Mine was expected so I didn't have a chance to plan ahead.

Thank you, Corky. It was so nice to be over there. I'm anxious to go back. It's an hour's drive for us so not too bad.

We almost had Florida weather for about four days, Carol but has cooled down quite a bit starting yesterday. If things are going well we may try to come down in the latter part of February and it's about 750 miles from our Eastern Virginia residence and Google estimate a travel time of around eight and one-half hours but for our stops for restrooms, food, and gasoline, probably need to add at least three hours to that! We will be looking forward to more beautiful images and wish you good "shootin" and please take care! Corky

After three months of not really being able to shoot, it feel great to get back out there. Last Thursday we spent the morning on Merritt Island at Black Point Wildlife Drive. The variety of birds was good and their numbers were OK - not great but adequate. Missing were Great Blue Herons and Reddish Egrets. I only saw a couple of Snowy Egrets but it was an excellent outing and I am happy with the results.

I really wanted shots of the beautiful Green Heron that I spotted but it wasn't to be.

A very fine set Carol. Yes, that is a N Shoveler and yes, how I would like to see a Tricolored Heron! I am happy to know you had a good day out with our favorite creatures, it is good medicine.

It is good medicine for sure, Phil! I thought it was a Shoveler but with his beak down I wasn't certain. I get carried away watching the birds and sometimes forget to take the shot.

So glad you were feeling well enough to be out and about again. Your set of images was very enjoyable to view. I love your reflections and especially the feather colors of the Roseate Spoonbill. Bev

Thank you, Bev. It was great to be over there again and on such a perfect day! The spoonbills are neat in that you can spot flashes of pink from a great distance when you otherwise wouldn't know what kind of bird you saw.
