Our Resident Eagle sitting atop her nest. Their nest is in this high (125'+) dead pine tree a block or so behind our house. Last year she and her mate fledged two beautiful big chicks and hoping she'll have two more this year. The female, the larger of the two, has a much shorter tail than the male so we know its the same two as last year. There's a lake nearby and the fishing seems good for this pair.
Shot take at about 300+ yards and cropped. I'm waiting to see some heads pop and and down before I take up my usual position (somewhat closer) watching the birds.
