I can see the reasons for the rule; however, let's not think that the NFL is doing this for anything but enhancing their profit. If bothering fans while not losing fans happens, I question whether the NFL would care.
No cameras, cases, or telephoto lenses???
Gee, I vividly recall Grateful Dead concerts of 130,000 folks in stadium or field. And the Dead allowed everything...even had a huge section for "Tapers" to set up equipment, mics, cameras and record the full concert....no charge, no hassle!!!
