Beautiful effort! And to think I thought all 50s Crown Vic’s were pink and black! πŸ‘

Had a 55 Crown Vic in 57 that was that color. A lot of fun then.

You have way more patience then I do. Love the car and the picture. My friend had one when we were in high school. We used to cut class and ride around in it. What memories.

1956, not 1955--check the grille.

If the grill is for a β€˜56 then the model is not authentic. The trim on the door is for a β€˜55.

Try googling 1956. Why people fight without checking themselves amazes me.

Read the thread. No one said anywhere that it is a 1966. The discussion was on whether it was a 55 or 56. In actuality I typed the title and couldn't correct it after I posted it. Yes it is a 1955. The model has it embossed on the bottom. My Aunt owned one as well.

It is indeed a 1955 Ford Fairlane Crown Victoria Sunliner. Same thing is embossed in the model's floor pan. Here is the real deal....

I had one passed down from three older bros. Fender skirts and continental kit. Totally cool looking but the engine and transmission were very weak. Going to school in Gunnison, CO was a real challenge for that car while traveling over the mountain passes, so I stayed at school all 9 months except for Christmas break. When the temp would hit -10F, we had to take an hibachi, slide it under the engine and warm up the oil pan before it would turn over and start. We always kept our batteries in the house until our cars were needed. One year, '69, the temp never got above +10 the whole month of Jan. Boy, I really miss that.

The grill and caqr are 1955. I had a 55 country Sedan wagon.
