I shot this last summer and after a little processing, I filed it away deciding it was just too much green for my taste. I recently pulled it out and converted it to sepia, I like it but not sure if it was the right choice. Thoughts and critique are most welcome. Shot with full frame & a 20mm 1.8 lens.

Beautiful scene with gorgeous back lighting, Phil, and I love your choice of sepia.

Hmm, I don't know. Sepia tone always makes me think of age, time past, dark, etc. This shot is a bit on the bright side, Sepia seems like a contrast to me.

I'm with Fred on sepia = age (the "old days"), worn out. Lush foliage and bright sun doesn't really work for me. Would you be willing to put the original in a PP Forum topic and let us play with it?

To be honest Fred, I tried B&W, which seemed cold, and as I said, the original color was a little overwhelming with all the green. That left me with sepia, and like you I have second thoughts. Thanks for taking a close look, it is much appreciated!

While I agree with you about the sepia, the attraction to the scene was the light, lines, and contrast. After trying all three, the sepia did the best job of bringing out those 3 things. I will post the color version and you are more than welcome to "play with it".

Love the color version, but I agree with Phil. It's much too green (and yellow). Did very little to get it more to my liking. I kept the wonderful sunbeams as is but desaturated and cooled down the rest of the image.

I prefer Michael's over the two I've tried so far on my Chromebook. But I will try again later on my better editor. Many thanks, Phil!
