Hi Everyone: What's the best SIMPLE, free or not, replacement for PICASA that modifies and catalogs pictures other than Adobe Elements or something in the cloud? Also can PICASA on a Windows 7 computer be switched to the same computer to Windows 10 at the end of this year when Microsoft no longer will support Windows 7? Thanks Bob

I downloaded Picassa from here: https://picasa.en.softonic.com/download & it's running on Windows 10

I use Google Photos, it will do all you want and it's FREE.

Be very careful with "Softonic", make sure untick their suggestions and take care not to download another app without knowing.

Download the trial version of Luminar to see if you like it. Its easy to use, very powerful, and inexpensive.

Bob,

Is there something inherently wrong with Elements?

I just find the learning cure to be too long for this old man. I don't need half of what it does! I have it on my computer and have spent hours trying to figure all of it out. Most of my body is working pretty well, but I think I am losing my mind!! Bob

Is it the cataloging or the image processing that you want to find?

Faststone. Free and easy. Otherwise, you'll probably have to pay for something.

Hello,

You may want to put in a search for online photo editors and see if any of them may have what you need.

Otherwise I do agree about Faststone. It does have an manual you can download.

When upgrading computers, I copied the Picasa program files from my old pc to the new pc and continued using Picasa without any issues so it might still work for your situation. Normally applications have to be reinstalled so I was surprised it still worked!
