Heard about this on the news. Caught my attention, bringing back memories of my Sasha. She was 18'6" when she died(infectious stomatitus), weighed about 250 lbs, and gravid w/30 eggs. This one down in FL they euthanized, due to it being the "invasive" species.

I think you're lucky to be here talking about it! Sounds to me based on "Sasha"'s size, she could have had you for dinner some night!

There are only two kinds of snakes. The wrong kind will kill you.

I saw that about the snake Archy. Being that I live in the Glades, they are a big concern to us. The one that was killed last year with the grown Deer in its stomach was taken about 3 miles from me. But, this latest one is not a record. About 10 years ago, a 25 foot albino Python was killed by some Indians who were out cutting Cypress logs. She was about 2 1/2 feet wide!!

It would not suprise me if they show up in Central Florida...if they do I have a Winchester 12 gauge waiting for them...I can abide the gators...but not them big snakes.........

You are right!!! My weapon would be a Remington 12gauge with #6 shot. I'm sure that there are folks out there that will p&m about this, but heck...let's face facts. If something is going to possibly harm my family, it WILL be taken care of. End of problem. 8-)
