So you're thinking about catching the mirrorless wave? Make sure you double-check all your reasons and assure you're not being fooled by the marketing hype.

1. When you remove the mirror, full-frame mirrorless bodies are feather light and the size of toys.

2. Lenses for mirrorless bodies are cheaper and don't even have a measurable weight.

3. If you buy a mirrorless camera, your existing DSLRs turn to dust.

4. Sony builds mirrorless cameras for the masses and prices them of the benefit of mankind.

5. If Sony mirrorless cameras were better than DSLRs, they would be more expensive.

6. Sony makes Nikon's high-end sensors. Nikon is doomed.

7. Sony MILC bodies have all the features and ergonomics that professionals demand. (Mirrorless Interchangeable Lens Camera).

8. Sony cameras are mature products and have the best documentation.

9. If you can't afford to go full-frame and mirrorless, you can't afford to go from good to great.

10. Mirrorless cameras have a terrible battery life.

11. Mirrorless cameras do not have dual card slots, a professional deal-breaker.

12. The mirrorless EVF (Electronic View Finder) is too small and too slow to be useful.

13. Sony RAW files have a lossy compressed setting that's as bad as shooting JPEG.

14. If Image Stabilization was supposed to be in the camera, God wouldn't have made IS / VR / VC enabled lenses first. (IBIS - in-body image stabilization).

15. The available mirrorless lenses barely cover the basics.

16. Ansel Adams never would have used a foreign-made mirrorless camera.

17. You can't get a shallow depth of field using a mirrorless camera.

18. If you go mirrorless, you have to start over for your entire lens portfolio.

19. Legacy lenses never perform as good when adapted to mirrorless. Manual focus lenses don't even gain autofocus.

20. Mirrorless cameras take better images than any level of DSLR.
