If you would pardon a hint about shooting snow scenes with a blue sky. To avoid blue snow (snow is quite reflective) open up the lens 1 or 2 f-stops
I'll give it a try next time we have a combination of blue sky/snow - thanks!

I like the snow scenes, especially the pink sunrise but the iced up lantern is far and away my favorite!

Beautiful Sue..doesn't look like much accumulation on the road there now but I'm sure there will be more soon..
Thank you. There wasn't as much snow on the road as I would have liked but I wanted to catch it with the blue sky which is a bit of a rarity around here. That road is a township road which has minimal maintenance and will be covered for days after a good snowfall. This is a very rural township (no businesses at all) and less than $100 of our property tax goes to it - the rest goes to the county which doesn't do diddly for the folks around here!
Mid 20's and 30's, we will get out...
But mid teens on down? We stay in...
The places we go around here, are fairly remote...
(no cell service)
So that figures in the picture, also...
Sometimes, I just shoot through the bedroom window

I like the little bird shaking the snow off..

I enjoy getting out in the winter, if it's not too cold or windy. I also shoot through the windows and stay inside nice and cosy.

I was able to brave the elements and capture a few.
Of course, the elements aren’t too rough in SoCal.
Sunlight through the tree and the iced over lantern!!
