Nothing compared to some parts of the country, but it was darn cold for Metro Atlanta. It was 22 at 7 am and our pups wanted to go out about 10 am and it had zoomed up to 28. Definitely jacket temps for Cooper and Abby. Cooper is the black and white Maltipoo and Abby is a Shih-poo. Outside time lasted about 5 min.

Dave cute dogs. They would have not liked the minus 27 this morning at 8:30AM

I grew up and worked in MA until 1991. And, no they wouldn’t. Sometimes when we open the door and the cold hits their noses they stay inside. Yes, we use pee pads!. These pups are non-shedders and have no undercoat. We also have to watch them in summer heat so they do not get overheated. They never go outside without my wife or me with them or watching them form the patio door. We also have to be aware of cayotes.

Aw...they are adorable Dave, and I hear you about the jackets. My two Aussies have plenty of fur, but Penny our Rescue (we think Shitzu/terrier) has really thin hair and I worry about her getting cold so she has a little jacket and sweater as well-and wouldn't you know it, she is the one who loves the snow the most. Will bury her head right in it and runs all over the place, snow flying in every direction Your two are precious and look forward to seeing more of them. ♥ ♥

I have two outside dogs (they love the snow) and it's been in the single digits here in WV the past few days. Both have heavy undercoats and fluffy top coats. Heated water bowls insulated and well strawed doghouses. Keeping this in mind they are always pulling the straw out of their boxes mounding it up and sleeping in the pile of straw on top of the snow. They only retreat to their boxes when it gets to windy.

Adorable shots of Cooper and Abby, Dave, and it looks like they might be enjoying their warm siesta a bit more than their adventure into the cold!
