Can anyone tell me how to downsize video so it will upload here? I have already downsized to 720 and it still says file is too big. Thanks.

Did you use Mail Drop? That will normally handle 720p.

Post it to YouTube & post a link here.

Split your vid onto 2 or more episodes, post those.

Good luck

Post it elsewhere and then post the link here.

Uploads to UHH are restricted by file size (megabytes), not resolution. Files must be 20 mb or smaller for UHH to accept (though I've had a couple around 22 mb squeak by).

Ok I think I might need more help :) I was trying to upload a very short video- maybe 30 seconds- but U-tube projecting it will take 1 1/2 hours to upload!! That can't be right- can it? It was uploading for about 10 minutes and still at only 20% complete.

Hi- I am trying to upload to U-tube and the video is maybe 30 seconds or less it's taking forever! Is that to be expected? I'm thinking it might be my Internet service which is pretty good most of the time but has off moments.

What is the format of the video? You might try exporting it in different compression schemes such as H264, MPEG-4 or HEVC. Most video editors provide a wide variety of codecs that you can try and pick the smallest resulting file. For example, I recently edited a 31 sec. video and exported in MP4, and it is 6.9 MB, but it will vary depending on the content.

It's a Mov format. I will look at the options for exporting- thanks. I was not able to load it to here, or FB or Utube. However it did load to Flickr in the Mov format. I'll try again tomorrow.

In my experience, *.mov format is a pain in the neck. I use Filmora (formerly Wondershare) as my video editor. It's not very expensive, and is relatively easy to learn and use. You can import your *.mov files, edit them, add titles, etc., and export as MP4 or something like that for uploading. That's one of many suggestions you'll probably get.

Agreed. I use Filmora for video editing as well. Simple to use, not expensive, and it allows export to a number of video formats - I usually export to MP4.

I just downloaded Filmora. Thanks for the information. I haven't done anything yet with it but looked at the user manual briefly. Nice that there is a user manual!
I have worked a little with iMovie and it's what I have on my computer and I know that everyone says it's easy but I didn't find it so. It wasn't so difficult making some simple edits but I didn't find the interface all that user friendly. Just getting it loaded and ready to edit and then trying to delete it was a headache. So I have these partially done videos that I want to get rid of but haven't found that "key" yet. No question it's my lack of experience.
Really all I want are some simple edits- adjusting the audio, maybe adding music, deleting some frames. adding others, editing exposure, and starting and ending the video smoothly.
Since I am new to video and video editing I only keep what doesn't require much edit.

I did manage to open a U-tube account through Google and I did manage to upload one video and I did manage to copy the internet address so presumably I can share- we will see when I post the link.

And Flickr did upload 2 Mov format videos on my account. I get a message error on one of those uploads that the format isn't supported but it runs anyway- go figure.

I know that I am whining a bit-maybe more than a bit- video editing does that to me :)

Thanks for everyone's help and patience.

Yep, video takes awhile. I have also used Adobe Premier, but I find Filmora easier, and the learning curve is quite fast. Good luck.
