Is black and white nudes more appealing or color? Or is it the photographers preference or does it depend on a model or setting. I see both on here that are exceptionally good.

Photographer’s perogative as to how to present; viewer’s decision as to good or bad.
I think B/W can often rescue a photo where colored elements might distract from the subject, or where shapes/lines might be the intent of the shot.
I see in color, so most of my photos are color. But a razor might be in order.

The answer is, it depends.
The two samples present different interpretations. And the variations are as numerous as the viewers.
The photographer is the one who starts the conversation. So, it depends.

of the two shots - color. Maybe B&W if it were lighter -
In general, I prefer Color.
An obsession with B/W for nude photography (e.g.., Model Society Magazine) strikes me as rather pretentious.
Good Black and White prints are not just desaturated color.
It depends on what you are trying to say
An image of a crotch or an artistic image showing lines, contrasts, composing.etc

I do't suppose they'll let you enter this in the "Hair Challenge" for today?
Neither of these appeal to me.

IMO it depends on preference of photographer and subject material but B&W photos are usually better if one shoots (and exposes) for them versus just converting like here, ending up with a muddy pic.
