Fantastic pictures!! In #1, I noticed the difference in the size of the bird's iris and remembered a similar discussion yesterday about the iris difference in a heron.
Another observation: you must be a good distance away with a LARGE lens; still it is obvious the eagles have spotted you.

I love the first one (head on). I have a 20 X 36 poster similar to the photo, but it has a caption..."I Am Smiling" It is my favorite.....I love all the Eagle photos.

I am guessing You are a Biologist and these pictures were from a Trail Camera placed close to the nest, or you used climbing gear to get high enough in a tree with a telephoto lens to take these or found a natural high spot on the ground overlooking the eagle nest and used a long telephoto lens,,,however you did it some of the most unique and great Photographs of Eagles I have ever seen...
