Ok, I didn't get to Galveston Island last night, but managed to get this last night in humid skies. I used a 60D and Tamron 150-600 G2 lens on a lightweight tripod, but managed to get lucky.

Well done!
I didn't get to take advantage of it, but we got lucky here in Houston on the clouds and humidity.
As I'm sure you know, a lot of the time we can't get sharp lunar shots because or high humidity.
Stars looked pretty sharp when I was looking around last night.

Thanks for the comments. I actually was in New Caney, but thought the skies would haven better on the island away from lights etc.

Thank you everyone for the nice comments. I'm pretty sure this was around 400mm and cropped. Most of the 150 shots I got looked very soft except the last few. The humidity must have gone down from earlier when there was a halo around the moon. So I did mirror lockup and time delay (10sec) so as to let the tripod settle down. I had many shots where I was getting a double exposure of sorts until I remembered what people on UHH said about turning off image stabilization when on tripod. What a difference. Thanks for all the tips UHH.

Excellent! I had opposite conditions here, 30 with strong winds making it feel like 20!
