IMHO RRS makes really good stuff.

Just curious, anyone on here use Really Right Stuff photography products? They are moving their manufacturing to just a few miles from me and I am looking at applying for a job they have that perfectly fits my skills.
Not just good products, but good people.

They do have good quality products, all the ones I use, I really like!

I have never heard a complaint about RRS - but have never used their products. I like Acratech ball heads and plates. The ball heads are light weight, do not collect dirt and grit, rock solid and perfect for backcountry excursions. Made in Pomona, CA.

High quality products that are worth the price.
I've been using RRS since Bryan & Kathy Geyer founded the company in 1990. They became well know and respected in the industry in short order. It was both their products and customer service that photographers appreciated.
There was a bit of concern when they sold the company to the Johnsons. They have grown the business but continued the same quality and customer service.
I have purchased a couple of cheap plates to see how they compare. They aren't bad, but you can feel the difference.

The Best! Better than Gitzo, which IMHO is at #2. Have the RRS BH-55 ballhead and the TVC-33 Versa Series 3 Mk2 tripod. Got carried away by the quality and even splurged on their Gimbal, which I believe is superior to the better-known Wimberley.

I do and think that they are the best that money can buy!
RRS, no affiliation with the company but do wish that it was mine
Great Products and great customer service. I contacted them about a bad item I had that was three years old. I had a updated replacement at my door in three day...at no cost or return needed
Kelly,
I don't think you can go wrong working with RRS group. I've used their products since the late '90's when
Brian owned the company. Then he sold the company to the Johnsons in 2001 or 2002. I've met Joe Sr.twice, once when I took a class at a digital institute in Los Osos, CA., back in 2004. He came to the class and presented the RRS products, answered questions, and explained his vision of RRS's future. He also came to speak to our camera club in central Oregon about 6 years ago. We took him to dinner and did some photographing in our area. He came across as a friendly person who listened to what we photographers needed to make photographing easier. In my opinion, RRS makes and delivers quality products and backs them up with service. I've used their ball heads, quick release plates, and "L" brackets for the last 18 years.
I don't hesitate in recommending them as a quality caring company for which to work.
Good luck,
Bev
There's a new tripod and head company just starting up - the Colorado Tripod Company. They will be producing the world's first titanium ballheads. I wonder if they will surpass even RRS.
Excellent company; excellent product.
