I don't make opportunities often to capture images of birds and I do it mostly for practice and because of that I don't often get acceptable images but when I do, it's fun. This was the first time I made an image of a Shoveler Drake and a hen in flight. I sort of like it. Nikon D850, Nikon 70-200 FL f/2.8 @ f/2.8, 1/800 ss, ISO 64, 185mm. This was an opportunity image. Planned I would have used a D500 and a Nikon 200-500 f/5.6 or Nikon 300 f/2.8. I went back yesterday geared properly and couldn't spook them into flight.
Beautiful Bird! Well done.
