This was a sunrise, one of several I've uploaded. I see these from my back deck which faces due east.
I only recall one sundown posted from my location, and I had to walk across the road to my neighbor's yard to take it. He's on the lake also, facing west.
Oh, yeah: I have posted sundown shots where the setting sun illuminated the eastern sky. :-)

Lake Martin (AL) is a huge (800 miles of shoreline) clear water lake in Alabama. Don't have any of those critters around. Ok, maybe a snake has swam across the lake occasionally, but I've never seen one.
