I see that Karen Pence (wife of the VP) is getting ridiculed for being excited to work at a school that doesn't admit LBTQ students.

In case you haven't seen the headlines; the VP's wife Karen Pence has said that she's excited to be working at a school that doesn't allow LBTQ students and she's getting blasted by the modern secular media for having a moral foundation.

Here is the best comment I've seen about the situation and also Harvard's mission statement from the beginning of the college. It's pretty revealing.

Quote:
Imagine that, Christian parents paying tuition out of their own pocket for private Christian schools to teach Christianity to their Christian children! It’s almost like they think they have a Constitutional right to free speech or to practice Christianity. I wonder if the Experts at the better schools such as Harvard have been notified?
<checks Harvard’s founding documents>

…never mind!!!

Harvard's original mission statement:

“Let every student be plainly instructed and earnestly pressed to consider well the end of his life and studies is to know God and Jesus Christ, which is eternal life, and therefore to lay Christ in the bottom, as the only foundation of all sound knowledge and learning.”

End quote.

Oh how far we've fallen.

I don't see how the Harvard Mission Statement supports the the Immanuel School position on LBTQ students. I don't think Christ would support their discriminatory position either - 'Do unto others ...' Jesus hung out with a pretty questionable crowd. Mary Magdalen was supposedly a 'woman of ill reput' and the Last Supper looks like a scene from a gay bar with a really cute young St John.

BTW - I'm not LBTQ, don't have many (if any) LBTQ friends and I'm not thrilled that every TV show nowadays features a gay couple, but I believe bigotry and discrimination should be challenged whenever it raises its ugly head. Mrs Pence is free to follow her conscience and beliefs, but not to get a free ride from her critics.

Jesus called homosexuality sin, an abomination. He called folks to repentenced of theit sin, not to celebrate it.

No it didnt and that’s disgusting that you would even try and draw that parallel.

Its not bigotry or discrimination and you wont get support for that position from the bible. What you will get is a condemnation of sin, a condemnation of those who support sin and a call to turn away from it.

I would expect nothing less from a godless society...not at all.
