Cool shot and most appropriate in B&W. I spent hours watching "Hoppy" (in B&W) as a child.

Thanks, Vicki, and me too.

Extremely cool stuff and goes well with the theme. B&W goes well with it. Mahalo for sharing.

Thanks, Rich. I always liked the RS, too, but not like the Yanks.

Incredible! That Hoppy camera brings back memories. And the baseball ... way cool - Mikey Mantle and Casey Stengel. My baseball heroes. Nice collection and great photo.

My camera club recently had a “toys in the attic” monthly category, asking for photos of old toys that mean something to you. The commentators liked my entry. The camera still works, and that baseball gets no use other than shelf space. I’m still taking photos and am still a Yankee fan.

Great photo jaymatt. Reminds me that I have a Hopalong Cassidy bedspread and a Davy Crockett coonskin cap around here somewhere. Time flies.

Thanks, John. that must have been some childhood, getting to see all those games. Out here in the middle of Indiana, my only contact with the Yankees was through the newspaper and radio when they happened to be playing in Chicago. I finally got to see them play in Washington--the Senators--while on my high school senior trip in 1960. I believe when he came up the first time he wore six; and when he came up for good, he was assigned the famous number seven which was deservedly retired by the team after his run.
Thanks, John. that must have been some childhood, ... (show quote)

You are right. It was #6.
