Another sycro-sunlight lighting using a Hensel mono light and soft box, summer time, back lighted from the afternoon sun. Bubble the kitty was lurking about, I think on the roof, it is favorite place to snooze (you can hear him coming as the metal roof creaks under his 27 pounds! LOL!!!). I though this would be an ok way to drop a bondage style image in here. I got the dress from Salvation Army Store for $4.00 and removed the lining. More binding by use of twisty 'things' from Home Depot, work well for this and other purposes.

I do use the rule of 16 like the old photographers before light meters came with cameras (1960's) and before they were in the hand (the S.E.I. even). I do think that one needs to know the base line of technology to really control the work one does. It makes it so easy to do the work so that visualization can be the most important agenda.

Technically not a bad shot in that the exposure is good and setting is reasonably acceptable. However, I would have removed the garden hose.
I also would have preferred something other than that dress; maybe no dress, but more likely something leathery and seductive. Finally, the "bondage" looks pretty weak and unconvincing.
Give it another try -- I am sure you will be more pleased with the results.

The concept of the image is provocative. The technical merit of the lighting is superb in this image. Lines around the doorway are
distracting the image itself. As previously noted, clutter in the background would be better to be relocated out of the image.
As for the content, this image would have been more dynamic if produced in the open doors of an old barn or an abandoned factory. But you have to use the locations you have available to you.
Regarding the bounds....."More binding by use of twisty 'things' from Home Depot, work well for this and other purposes." Yes, better used for other purposes. There were many other props that would have better served.....rope/chain, cuffs, spreader bars to name a few.
While I enjoy the model, the facial expression is puzzling. It neither expresses distress from the situation or the 'happy place' that the many reach resulting from the situation of bondage. While the dress is neutral, a partial torn garment revealing some of the model's body would have upped the dynamic. The curtain tye back and tassel being used as (I guess) a belt, adds nothing but additional distraction and is better lost especially with the silver footware.
While a good first attempt at a bondage fetish image, no one will be fooled; keep experimenting with the concept and research the fetish. Best of luck going forward!

I do agree, Arnold Newman captured the essence of the predicament and the model's expression conveys to the viewer the stress of the position. Very simple, secure and powerful.

A really bright rich girl, Daddy wouldn't give her a new Lexis so she fumed. Her daddy told her go earn your own money then! To his surprise she did, stripping! LOL!!!
She wanted to do this 'tie up stuff' the girls were telling her about, so she asks Timmy, "I want you to tie me up, for real!" I told he my boy scout days were over and I had not gone to sea (another story), so I would use cable ties and showed her what a cable tie was. Well, up she sat in what I call the princess chair a cute chair for use in front of a dressing vanity. I still have that delightful 'princess chair' and it has been snailed by a fine collection of ladies.
So there she was, seated in the Princes Chair on a six sided pedestal. She was looking ever so bored and was loosing her temper. Perfect! I put the last magazine an A12 onto the Blad pulled the dark slide, slipped it into my pocket so as to not loose it as I walked up to her.
"Last 12 snaps, then we are done! Oh, by the way you better balance!" I yanked her up to her feet and pulled the chair out from under her, she was now in this pose you see. I told her not to fall but if she went over to not land on the concrete floor with her head because she might kill herself. I told her this as I walked back to the tripod mounted camera.
12 frames later I strolled back, picked her up and sat her on the pedestal. "That is real bondage! Did you enjoy it?" She looked at me, I though she was going to spit on me, but, she was still cable tied, "I has so scared! I think I came!"
I cut the cable ties and she saw the marks on her skin and ran her fingers over the marks and I sent her home with the bag of cable ties.
