Has any body bought one or had a chance to use this?

I think if you do a search on this forum you'll find many references to that piece of gear
Geez, here we go again.
No. I wouldn't touch one of those with a 10' barge pole. Soon it'll get to the point that one will put one of these on their camera, put the camera on their AI robot and send it out to take pictures while they sit at home watching a game on the telly and sipping a beer. Then, declare themselves a photographer.
One of our members admitted to purchasing one, but, now, can't seem to remember where he put it.

I'm pretty sure someone here listed one for sale and sold it here. You can find it on the Members Buy/sell topic.

There was a post earlier today about the exact same thing.
If you click Search and type in Arsenal you will find many discussions. Some will not relate to the camera attachment, but some will. just scroll down until you find what you want.

Isn’t this still vaporware? Going to their website shows PREORDER, and shipping in Feb. 2019...
Loads of Kickstarter ideas that go nowhere...videos of what it “can” do are nice, but is reality different?

According to their Nov 16th 2018 blog post on their website, 20,000 units had been shipped by then.
According to his post on another recent topic on the Arsenal, UHH member David Pine has one.

Gotta wonder if the hype comes close to reality.

I think it's starting to condense. : )
Would you let somebody else take your pictures for you? If not, would you let someTHING else take your pictures for you? If you buy one of those and use it your learning process is going to come to a grinding halt.
I did buy and receive one on Kickstarter. My reason for buying was NOT to automate my camera shot settings (I always shoot fully Manual) but to take advantage of some other features. For example, being able to control settings manually from a smartphone and view image before and after a shot in a considerably larger size, ability to set multiple focus points, time lapse, stacking, etc. In terms of these, it worked as advertised. However, I am a minimalist person and only like to carry the absolute essentials and have been finding myself not to use the Arsenal in spite of the aforementioned advantages. I would be willing to part with it. If interested, feel free to PM.

It took a long, long time to get mine. It's a gadget that's not quite ready for [prime time, in my opinion. I like gadgets and I collect them because I'm curious about things. I don't necessarily use them.[quote=krl48]According to their Nov 16th 2018 blog post on their website, 20,000 units had been shipped by then.

Ha, that sounds like a great idea. It is kind of cold here today, maybe I can send my Roomba down to the lake to get some pictures...
Dave, your Roomba comment got a laugh and brightened the morning. Thanks.

As long as your reason is not the AI, it can be a useful product. I can get a lot of the remote control features through other products (some of which are free).
But the AI is an entertaining gimmick, not more than that. AI uses assumptions about what good is and then tries to get you to the average. If the goal is to take reasonable but average shots, the AI feature might be useful. But average is not my goal.
