Magic is amazing! I hate to see how tricks are actually done because that takes the fun out of it.

For me, it is the opposite. Knowing how its done and still be "pulled in" by the presentation makes it that much more magical.

It’s tough to fool them, but she did. I love that show.

Exactly, I dont like knowing how the tricks are done either.
My Father in law was a part time amature magician, and the only one in the family that he taught or lets say had an interest in it was my son, but tthat kind of filtered way as he got older. I think he remebers a few but thats about it . We do still have his props tho.

I think the most interesting part of the show is when they let the magicians know they weren't fooled without revealing how the trick was done.

I swear that magic has gotten better and better. The current top magicians just blow my mind. No idea how they do it.

I agree with you John, sometimes it is more fun to try and figure the clues that Penn & Teller are giving the contestant than the actual trick.

I always ask "how did they do that?", but never have seen the answer so I'll just accept it as being fooled by a good magician.

90% talking heads yakking and 10% magic. P&T, who have revealed magic tricks, are reviled by many magicians.

On the show, the never publically reveal the trick if they figure it out. They use sort-of "coded" messages which is usually enough for the magician to realize they know, without giving it away.
