This is one of the very few times I have even seen a hawk in the back yard much less been able to get a picture of it.

Nice shot! It is a Sharp Shinned or maybe Cooper's Hawk (check out the Cornell All About Birds site for how to tell them apart). I am going to say Sharp Shinned, but I could be wrong. I posted one recently on UHH and am still not sure which.
Either one eats small birds, so it is probably watching your bird feeder!

Nice shot. What do you have here is a Cooper’s hawk. Judging from the eyecolor it’s probably in its second summer. The ridge above the eye is not present in a Sharpshinned

I’d say Sharped Shin also. I have one that shows up at my feeder at this time every year. Around 10th year now.
