I think maybe a little smaller than the other one I shot a while back. About an hour ago. It was back-lit so I had to brighten it up a little.

It appears to be hidden in a small shadowed area; is that accurate? I love how it looks, all mysterious blue tones, with harsh light front and back.

Yep! I updated the post. It was in the shadows & the sun was really low. Thank you for your comments, I'm glad you like it. Raising the shadow slider in LR degrades the image if it is too dark. This was borderline.

I'm a huge fan of taking advantage of dramatic light and not trying to fight it. We can still easily see the animal with the amount of detail you pulled. Must have been a thrill!

Beautiful photo! Bobcats are generally very shy. How close were you able to get and what was the lens focal length? The tack sharp face really pops nicely from the rest of the photo. Like it! Like it!
