Playing with a fisheye.

I haven't used my Samyang 8mm fisheye lens for years, so thought I would blow the dust off it yesterday & have a little play. This is a DX (APS-C) lens & if used on a full frame camera, it produces a circular image, but produces a standard rectangular image if used on a crop sensor camera. If the camera is kept level, the horizon is straight, just like any other lens, & tilting the camera up or down will bend the horizon. If one stays back a little & keeps the camera level, it takes super wide landscapes (like #3) with little distortion on the edges, equivalent to a 12mm lens on a full frame camera. However, if one is close to the subject (a foot or so) & tilts the camera, some weird & bizarre images can be produced. Downloading is recommended.
