Have taken to doing water drop photography as a winter project. I am still in the learning stages, but here are a few of the images I have created so far. These are all two drop images except for the second to last which is only one drop to create the crown.

Very nice project. Consider using milk

Very nice set. Its difficult to capture those collisions. I've tried it with glycerine and xanthan gum. It thickens the liquid. Then you can add colors.

Looks like you're already an expert at this technique, Dave. Beautiful work!

Thank you angler. It takes many attempts before you get one you are willing to show.

The last ones are using milk. I have simply used reflections off a colored card to create the color in the image. Thank you for your kind comment.

I have the gum but have not used it yet. I am hoping when I do that I will get taller collisions. Thanks for leaving your comments Pop Pop.

Thanks Donna. Your comments are very kind but I'm afraid expert may never describe my efforts. It is fun experimenting though. Hopefully more to come as I progress. There are so many variables to this type of photography such as timing, focus, camera angle, materials used and lighting. Many things to think about and adjust.

Very nice. Not “easy” to accomplish

Dave, I did a few of these several years ago using high speed electronic flash. I like what you have done. It is always difficult to get your focus correct. These appear to be very slightly soft.
Good job!
Don
