Sunday morning reminder: Unbelievers aren't that way because they lack evidence. They are unbelievers because they suppress the truth that they know...that God exists and that they are in trouble if they die in their sins. The bible says all men know that God exists...yet some suppress that knowledge in unrighteousness.

I know..I was unsaved for much of my life.

So resolve to proclaim the truth about God instead of giving evidence as if the unbeliever is the judge and God is on trial.

The real situation is that God is the judge and the unbeliever is on trial.

Never shrink from this truth...men are saved by God's word...not more evidence or more persuasive arguments.

After a morning of proclaiming the truth to some nasty atheists, I thought I'd mention that because it was on my mind.

grace. I have known some terribly evil people,myself included that
have been completely transformed by belief in my lord and savior.
If you ask any honest person,that should be the perfect indisputable

Heres the problem: folks arent morally honest....they are in rebellion to God.

Besides, atheists can transform their lives for the better all of the time.

Its not about evidence and convincing....thats the point of this post.

Its free now on youtube, its very good and goes over a lot of this stuff, i think its a very powerful video about the proper way to share the faith.

I agree, evidence is both within us and around us everywhere. That voice of truth is instilled in each of us by our creator, when and if we decide to listen to it is up to us.

I can recognize that a person is a nasty atheist...because they are. That has no bearing on whether I believe that they can be saved (which is up to God) hence...I say proclaim the truth.

What those atheists need is the gospel....I gave the truth in love (as Peter puts it)

Correction: the only thing that saves anyone is that the gospel is preached/given to them. God is the one who decides who responds correctly or not.

Newsflash...I can recognize that they are acting nasty and that they are an atheist but still love them enough to give them the truth. (you might want to read about John the baptist preaching to folks thusly:

“But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?Bear fruit in keeping with repentance.”
(Matthew 3:7–8 ESV)

I guess John the Baptist was unloving...he actually called them snakes to their face. :(

Second; we are commanded to proclaim the gospel to all.

My simple method of presenting Christ's love to others comes from a George Strait song: "I'll tell you what He's done for me, and I know what He'll do for you." We share the Good News, the Holy Spirit does the heavy lifting. Works for me...
