Just catching a few snow crystals and a native grass, Idaho fescue I believe.
Mini or intimate - very nicely seen and captured. I pm'd NMGal about your posting because she's been asking for tips on capturing the sparkles.
Thank you, Linda. This was taken directly toward the sun for the highest reflection count I could muster.
Excellent work! NMGal will be interested.
Thank you, Mike. My other passion is skiing but in a quick review of my skiing pictures there isn't a crystal in sight. I guess that has to be part of the objective to capture them.
Hi Guardineer, didn’t know anyone else was interested in snow sparkles. Could you tell me your settings, please? Mine generally turn out too blue. Yours looks good.
I do have WB set to auto, the camera selected 5200 and I made no correction. Out of focus areas seem to have larger crystal glow so I focused on the grass and got my bokeh at f5.6, ISO 200, 1/4000, and I pushed histogram to the right in LR pp.
