Mean Mr. Shadow
Taken up against the studio wall. 1/250th at F4.0 and ISO 400. Initially I was setting up to try and minimize that shadows but when I saw the results of the flogger getting in front of the flash on a test shot I moved the flash so he would cast a shadow with every frame.

Good choice - the shadows add a certain menace to it, which you'd expect of someone being flogged.
The teal background works wonderfully with her skin tones and hair color!
In the words of Arte Johnson, "very interesting". Missing a little "redness"? <grin>
Mixed emotions on the shadows, but well posed and shot!
I like these shots....
I especially like the shadows in photo #2.
The one thing I think I would do differently tough is have your wife's hands spread apart just a little bit more. To me with them being close together like they are, gives me the impression that she is not balanced, and once she starts to receive the flogging she would be losing her balance and fall over. But I do really like these photo's with the shadows.....Tom
I like them—very creative use of shadow.
