Had cataract surgery in both eyes about 12 years ago, I was only 50 yrs old. 20/25 vision in one eye and 20/20 in the other. Night driving vision was bad before surgery but great afterword, but the newer bluish headlights gave me fits. Got a pair of good shooting glasses that are pretty much the same thing as those being sold for night time driving on TV. They work great, plus I broke my old shooting glasses so now the one pair does double duty. Like most people I get my readers from the drugstore, a lot cheaper than prescription glasses.

Well, when you are ready, do it right away. This is the easiest surgery you will ever have. Not asleep. Over in 15 minutes. Recovery overnight. Sometimes, the flap under the new lens requires a little zap from the laser, but that doesn't hurt and fixes it perfectly. Good luck.

The eye doc at the VA hospital recommended them for me. I absolutely love them. Without them I could not drive at night especially on roads with out street lights.
