The Wonderful Wood Duck

With a nod to the mandarin duck, the wood duck must come in at least second in the duck beauty contest. It has been a good winter for wood ducks here in the Seattle area. These are a few of my best wood duck shots this season. I hope you enjoy them. All shots were taken with a Nikon D500 and a Tamron 150X600MM G2 lens. The shutter speed varied between 1/1000 and 1/2000 depending on the available light. ISO varied between 800 and 1600.

Great images! Love the beauty of wood ducks.

Some day I’d like to catch on in a tree or entering the houses they put out for them.

Really nice!!! Do like the camera setup too, although I find the Tamrons are sometimes a bit soft, but not complaining as they have put some nice $change$ in the my pocket over the years.

they sure are pretty and beautifully photographed.
