Wow, Donald, that's a nice photo. You even managed to convince the subject to pose and look at the camera.

Very good shot. This "looks" to be a Morning Dove?
In the 1950's Morning Doves were very plentiful everywhere in Texas (and beyond). Now White Wing Doves are everywhere and very plentiful . White Wing Doves are much larger than Morning Doves. The White Wing Doves have driven the Morning Doves almost completely away. Every once in a blue moon, you can see a Morning Dove here. When a Morning Dove flies, his wings make a "whistling" sound. I used to hunt them all of the time with a 12 gauge shotgun. I still hunt them now, but only with my camera. Again, a great shot. Thanks for sharing. Lelon.

I believe the term is Mourning Dove not Morning Dove. Has to do with the call that it makes. Sounds like it is in Mourning.
