Hypocrisy among the Democrat leaders

The Democrats are quick to point a finger at Trump if he says something that might be questionable or not true but they are and have been reluctant to talk about all the lies members of their party like Hillary, etc. have told. They keep saying a wall won’t work. Are they so blind they can’t see there are hundreds if not thousands of walls around the world that DO work including ones built around properties owned by some of their leaders. It’s pretty obvious when the Democrats want to give 12 billion additional dollars away in foreign aid to countries that many of whom could care less about us, money isn’t the motivating factor. Their objection to the wall is strictly politically motivated against Trump. They are afraid if a wall is built and it does make a difference it will be to Trump’s credit after the Democrats sat on their back sides for eight years under Obama and did nothing about the problem. Nobody has ever said or implied the wall will eliminate the problem completely. It’s also obviously with the Democrats attitude they are not working for the people they were elected to serve. We need border security plain and simple and the wall seems the most likely plan right now that will have a chance of impacting illegal crossings. Man up Democrats and admit your party the way it’s acting is nothing more than a bunch of hypocrites.

Did you notice the guard towers on those prison walls?

Have you ever noticed the border patrol on the border? How do you know a wall wouldn't include appropriately spaced towers. That is if the Democrats don't start screaming that's inhumain or some other flimsy excuse.

Where would the guards stand on if there were no wall? Are you implying that prisons need no security walls because they have guards?

Hypocrisy among the Democrat leaders br br The De... (show quote)

I have to say that EVERY politician and party have at least a lot of hypocrisy. It's hard to defend a party who sought to deny gay folks the right to marry (a voluntary association) while the same party defends taking Obamacare to court or defending bakers and or florists who refuse to service gay marriage ceremonies under the auspice that freedom of association (or lack of association) is an individual right of every citizen.

That said, it's hard to argue that the left's zealous adherence to gun control legislation (a denial of the right to defend one's life, property and future) is anything but diametrically opposed to their argument that potential effects of c*****e c****e must be addressed to protect life, property and the future.

We also have the age-old death penalty vs a******n hypocrisy in both parties, as both parties choose one group to deem worthy of life protection and one group to be disposable.

How about both parties claiming to defend the rights of citizens while consistently expanding government influence that results in less liberty and rights (especially rights NOT to _____) ?

The real difference I see from my Libertarian seat is that Libertarians see both parties as hypocrites and anti-liberty, that Republicans see Democrats as willful liars, and that Democrats see Republicans as evil.

Additionally, I have to laugh when the party that denies the existence of God and Godly moral codes of individual interaction and choice, demands the government enact societal policy that installs a group moral code and mandates their vision of Godly outcomes be supported...... and vice verse.

The real problem I have is not so much people who think the wall would be a bad idea but the fact I haven't heard anyone make a sensible alternate solution that might work. So we continue to do nothing and the problem gets worse. Can anyone really say illegal border crossings aren't a problem and we should just ignore it?

The Great Wall of China could not keep the Mongol hordes out. It was about 8 meters high and about 5 meters wide at the top and spearsmen could be deployed. Our southern border is underlain by soft sedimentary rock, so to block tunneling will require 1-inch thick stell panels to be sunk deep.

Nobody has ever said a wall will stop everyone but it sure will slow them down and it's certainly unarguably better then what we are doing now. Better idea on how to stop illegal entries, let's hear it?

Obstructionists! OMG, it's like if they wanted to have hearings for a Supreme Court Justice and the other party wouldn't even let the hearings begin. Or maybe even if they shut down the government and then refused to bring a bill up on the Senate floor, even though it had passed once before.
Oh. Wait a minute. That's the Republicans. Sorry.

Did you fail history? I believe the Mongoi hordes you speak of were an army not just a few hundred unarmed men, women and children at a time.
