On jan. 1, alberio posted a pic that i liked and i ask him if he thought of converting to B&W. he told me to give it a try, since, I have been traveling to southern fla, and just had the chance to play with it, I thought I would post it.

Great composition. A few suggestions: You've got fringing around the prominent pine tree in the left foreground and along the trees to the right; from oversharpening? Also, if you have Lightroom, or some equivalent, try a radial filter on the mountains with a DeHaze filter in the color image before you convert to B&W. And, that bright dot on the middle peak can easily be cloned out.

I like this shot. What did it for me is the bold sky. I am such a sucker for big ole clouds

I like the sky but I know there is more information in the foreground that can be brought out. Sometimes it helps to step away from it for a few days and come back with a fresh look. You're on the right track.

I just now found your redo of Beartooth Pass. I think you did a great job and I might even like it better. Thanks
